In today's technology-shrunk world, we all need to gain a greater understanding of each others' religious traditions.
One way to learn about an unfamiliar topic is to find and absorb a straightforward descriptive account ("The One-Minute Sikh", "Sikh for Dummies"...)
Stephen Power has taken a more nuanced approach as he concisely allows a cross section of American Sikhs to describe the way that their beliefs frame their lives.
The result is a colorful mosaic that portrays Sikhism in way that is both personal and memorable.
This book admirably fills a needed gap. I recommend it.
