.......yes, I am a Red Sox fan, but this review is about believing in a spiritual power greater than myself. About being able to receive a miraculous gift that can be used for good or for evil. A gift without a handbook and without restrictions.
The author, Ronnie Mills, has captured the essence of multigenerational characters making them sympathetic and vulnerable. The stories are beautifully intertwined to make a compelling novel.
In an age where television programming, recorded music and yes, even church sermons are just recycled work, Mr. Mills has created original scenarios that keep the reader spellbound waiting to find out what will happen next. There are triumphs and casualties, but such is life.
A quick and interesting read. Note: the gangster story contains language appropriate for that genre.
According to Richard Scott, there are HEALERS among us. The author's writing style is smooth and lyrical. This well written book was easy to read because the words flow as you're reading the book. I enjoyed reading Healers. It's loaded with drama from likable and unlikable characters. Ronnie Mills is a great storyteller, he has you continuously wanting to know what's going to happen next in the story. Just when you think you know what's going to happen there's a twist. Being a Cleveland native, I truly enjoyed reading the stories taking place in the Cleveland area on streets I knew about. Healers will also have you thinking and wondering could there truly be healers amongst us. I look forward to reading another book from this new and emerging author.
