I didn't buy this book from Amazon.com, but at the local New Age store. It was a definete good buy at a very affordable price. I think that some of the spreads are a bit big, and sometimes it's hard to fit the meanings of the card into the position the card has fallen into, but if you're confident to be flexible and maybe even re-write the spreads slightly, then interpretations are made a lot easier. If you feel like you're sick of the run of the mill spreads, and want to try something different, you really should get this book :)
If you want to try new spreads, this book has lots. However, I thought the explanations and uses of the spreads were too specific and not flexible enough. I don't use any of them, because I find these particular spreads confusing and difficult to use. It also gives short and simple meanings for each of the cards, including the numerological, elemental, and astrological associations, which is helpful and convenient, but not detailed enough if you don't have a more comprehensive book or a detailed understanding of the cards. There are better books out there on non-traditional spreads. I only use this one when I need a quick reminder for a card's meaning.
