I had learned the Five Animal Frolics Qi Gong seveal years ago in the traditional manner - orally, follow-what-I-do (which was not always the same from week to week!), etc.
Not being the best student, I do not remember everything that I was taught, which is oftentimes different from what I actually learned and what I practice today.
What Franklin Fick's book offers to me for the Crane and Bear exercises is an excellent reference book that allows me to practice these two sets in a consistent manner.
The book answers the questions:
"How does that part go now?"
"Is this how I do it?"
"What do I really remember?"
"What did he actually teach?"
In summary, an excellent reference book!
