Rumiyat is an unusual experience. In the middle of this mellow tribute to Rumi,- when you least expect it, Veles raises a thunderous voice against inhumanity and ignorance on both sides of the "war on terror". Irreverent jabs at the organized religion are laced with innovative romantic imagery and some very witty wordsmithing. This is without doubt a very forceful first entry into Chicago's rich poetic scene.
Excellent. With bold brushstrokes worthy of Rumi himself, Veles has created a tiny masterpiece.
