Reader's Review: A Group Experience

I resently visited Annapolis, MD and had the wonderful experience of participating in a lecture conducted by Sherry Healy, the author of Dare To Be...Intuitive. I bought the book and sat expecting to hear how to become more psychic. Happily, more than my expectations were received. Sherry began a quick conversation expressing her personal intuitive experiences followed by an deeper conversation of intuiton. As she talked the whole group of listeners became quiet and listened with great intentions. Everyone, engaged with the words of this woman sitting in front of us, fell into a world beyond the norm.

After a time, Sherry mentioned her newest book, Dare To Be...Intuitive. Excitement mounted when Sherry Healy suggested the wisdom in the book to be the result of years of experience vs years of learning from others. Tales of real events made the evening a delight.

By the end of the lecture, several members of the group were reading pages of the book to each other. We were asking questions and feeling as if we were in the middle of a deeply felt experience.

The open expressions of surreal moments are always the best to hear.

The book allows us to see intuition to be more than just a hunch. Sherry tells us, Intuition is not just a mind-thing. It is more. It is a piece of God". God emerges in the pages of Dare To Be...Intuitive. Anyone of any religion can find a way to accept intuition through the eyes of Sherry Healy. She explains intuition to be God/Goddess/Source/Spirit/Universal Energy. Anyone wanting to know God more closely should read these pages.

I recommend this book to anyone who seeks a higher understanding of life and spirit.

Reader's Review: Learning to be A Healer

Chapter One introduces the book nicely as ideas are expressed in a complete manner. Universal energy is introduced as a healing energy. Sherry Healy begins to express energy as a godly existance, an idea that is at first difficult to swallow. As the reader continues it becomes obviouse that Sherry is a believer that God is everywhere and everything. Intuition is the word Sherry uses for God. By the end of chapter one the reader is convinced that God is good and within all beings working to allow all beings to know all things.

In chapter two the reader is at first shocked to pushed into a psychic reading class. After continued reading it is realized that learning to do this form of reading is a method to closer reach, once again, God. The psychic reading is introduced as a method of speaking gently with others when sharing information as well as a method of clearning the mind enough to actually know more than what is already present.

The rest of the book a basic how-to exercise manual. Dreams are introduced as the reader learns to be more psychic dreams are a natural way of hearing psychic information. All the while the reader is gently opened to believing that phychic information is a good form of basic information.

I gave this book a four star because I think it is a complete read for anyone who is unsure of why or how to use psychic information. I did not give this book a five star review only because I am not eager to learn the information found in the last pages of the book. As Sherry Healy speaks of reincarnation, I get the feeling that she does not like to encourage her readers to think too deeply on the subject. I am not an advocate of reincarnation studies either so I would rather not read or even think on the subject.

For anyone who wants to think more deeply of the subject there is brief introduction found in the last part of the book.

Finally, Sherry writes on the celebrities in the spiritual business. It is not clear to me what Sherry thinks of spiritual celebrities. She gives some information on Deepak Chopra and a few others. The business of spirituality as a business is ironic to me. I get a feeling it is ironic too Sherry Healy as well.

Finally, the picture on the front of the book is a good one. Sherry Healy looks like a good witch.
