I just got this book a few days back after making a contribution to radio station KPFK. I must say that even though I've read many a book on the subject of letting go(and largely from the perspective of Eastern religions), this is VERY well written. The stories to illustrate the points the author makes throughout the book are quite creative(like the one about the Wizard of Oz and the other about the woman passenger taking over the bus when other passengers are one by one wrecking her travel tour experience).
The advice to fully engage oneself in self observation may be in a thousand other self help books but in the context in which it appears here, it's very practical, even essential as the means for weakening the influence of negative thinking patterns that afflict us all.
I've read a lot, particularly sele-help books, but this book is one of the most boring. I even stopped reading it. " Don't give up. You don't have to. You can win in a brand-new way. How? Just let go! " Can these words have a great influence on you? Are they so wise that you will say " Wow, what a piece of advice! "
