Mysterious Kentucky is an excellent book for anyone interested in the strange and unusual. With a combination of history, folklore and eyewitness accounts, the author acquaints us with a variety of creatures, from water dwellers, to Bigfoot, to the dogmen. The eyewitnesses obviously had a great deal of confidence in him, to be willing to relate these tales to him. The stories are written in an easy manner, illustrating the author's vast knowledge of the area, as well as his sense of humor. I would highly recommend this book-can't wait for the sequel! I give this book 5 stars!
Any criptid lover will thoroughly enjoy this book! It elaborates on some things I had heard about, such as the Spottsville Monster, and enlightened me about many new things. I really like this seemingly new trend of locals writing about mysterious happenings in their own states. You learn so much that never seems to appear on the various crypto and paranormal websites.
