This is a fabulous book not only for anyone currently faced with the prospect of death and dying (either their own or a loved one's), but for all of us. For me, the decision to read the book now, when I'm not currently facing that situation immediately, was a conscious decision. And I'm so glad I did. The author manages not only to take a scary subject matter and make it less so, but also to inform, educate, and uplift you at the same time. I found her stories (both her own experiences and those related to her by others) really quite lovely and most reassuring.
Written by a woman who has found a true calling in life, this book is a way to reach even more individuals than she is able to do directly through her work. It's changed my perspective about the subject greatly, and I feel more confident that I'm better prepared to handle whatever comes down the road in my own family.
This book will be of help to all people who are interested in learning about hospice. I was in a grief support group led by the author and it helped me a great deal. The book is about the author's experiences with grief and hospice. Take time to read it, it's a good book.
