I admit, I had the bejeebers scared out of me as a kid one ill-conceived evening with an old fashioned Ouiji board. So, I will tell you UP FRONT this board is absolutely nothing like that! It was obvious that The Enchanted Spellboard was created with good intentions and lots of light, as cheeriness and happiness just popped out when I opened the box.
Speaking of which, I found the board to be very substantial and had no problems with the quality. It opens nicely and laid out flat, just like I expected. What I really like is that it is not too big. No need to clear off the entire dining room table to enjoy The Enchanted Spellboard, the coffee table will be just perfect. Very substantial and appropriate for the usage.
Ok, back to the mood of the Board. The variety of symbols available to use (see Janet's review above) make this a super easy to use oracle. Just let the little planchette skim over the board and you will get your answer...1-2-3!
Personally, I found the book to be an amazing resource...it packs a lot of punch into a small book. It is like an overview of all-things-metaphysical! FABULOUS! You get into on numerology, astrology, divining with the trees, the power of colors, faery/enchantress energies and more. I was floored that so much could be packed into that book. Plus, a little history thrown in every now and then. Way to go, Monte!
For those of you who are put off by the stereotypical Ouiji board comparisons, give this Board another look. It is positive, happy and will help guide you to enlightened answers. It is another fabulous, helpful tool from the light by The Enchanted Couple!

A 32-page companion booklet accompanies The Enchanted Spellboard, which offers comprehensive explanations of all the symbols, as well as simple spells for each.
Although this "talking board" is certainly innovative, I found the board itself to be a bit flimsy. In fact, I could see the corrugated cardboard on the parts that fold, which is a first for me (and I've seen quite a few oracle boards). Also, I couldn't get the board to sit flat, which means the planchette wouldn't glide easily. I hadn't had this difficulty with [[ASIN:0671866451 Psychic Circle]], also by The Enchanted Couple.
