This is a really stimulating and intense read and, at times has challenged both my mind, intellect and concepts of 'the way things are!' I found it spiritually awakening and made sense of life's really big questions I have not read anywhere else, so it is a brave book!
It contains thoughts you can't really be ready for, they are just so unexpected and diverse, even about what thoughts are (as living things!) and, how it shapes the delivery to your mind. Understanding this is very different. No amount of preparation will help you in this respect either. You just have to let go and dive in. You have to set aside all those previous things you might hold dear about the afterlife from other writers as well as the concepts your life has brought to you and their trappings - go on, just let them go.

This isn't a book for the faint-hearted either but it seems to be a beginning and, an unravelling of how we can survive the physical journey beyond what we call death. In a sense, this gave me a lot of peace now, just in thinking there was someone prepared to explain situations I couldn't begin to unwind in my consciousness. I found it does just that but leads to more questions. It is spiritual yet doesn't seem to have religion in it anywhere!
Sometimes the style is intense and demanding and I couldn't read large chunks of it as I couldn't actually take it in, like an information overload. I had to put it down and think about it, putting the pieces into order before I could continue. It is from a group of spirit people of higher intelligence rather than just one.
I haven't seen much about this source but I guess that over time things will become clear, just like life really.
I will be on the look out for the next one, if this is anything to go by.

He provides details of how the soul groups function; their importance in assistance of the earthbound spirits (ourselves) and our part in increasing the understanding of our own soul group with our human experience. It is vital that we realise that one person's spiritual improvement will have a positive effect on both the world of the living and the spirit world. Any knowledge gained will never be lost or forgotten. The soul groups do not differentiate between themselves and the living; we are all souls and are all evolving within a common bonding of love. They encourage our spirit quest, trusting that our motivation is pure. Feelings of pride and superiority will not gain any ground, and we must be aware of such human follies because they halt any progress.

The messages conveyed contain a vast amount of information; trials of life, the function of character and the environment, thoughts and emotions play a key part in our physical experience of life. Many chapters will require a second or third reading and a great deal of thought to be understood fully. The spirit information is quite abstract to many people's upbringing and religious education, and this book is certainly not light reading. I believe that The Soul Group- Its Meaning, Magic and Imagery should be read in conjunction with Mick Avery`s prior books because the knowledge expands on some of the beliefs introduced in these publications. The brief question and answer section is quite helpful as it provides a short explanation of some other topics. For readers who are searching for meaning, or open to a new philosophy, I would recommend that they try Mick Avery's transcript books. Although not for everyone, the insights are quite amazing and may make you aware of new possibilities and new hope for us all.
