The Sophist not only opens ones eyes to a more holistic and simplistic way to live life, but challenges one with the notion to actually take what you've learned and share it with others.
I not only read the book cover to cover but use many of the ideas and concepts in my everyday life and continue to share them with others as well.
The Sophist will not only open your mind but will touch your heart as well... Anyone that reads the pages of this book will be changed....
I had the privilege of reading this book even before it was available on Amazon. I liked the cover so I took a chance on an author I had never heard of. I was pleasantly surprise. It is a short, consise, but powerful book that can be read again and again. It remimds me a lot of The Prophet by Khalid Gibran, but much more philosophical and it can be more easily related to contemporay situations. I love the chapters dealing with Desire and Ownership especially!! And the last chapter: the departure, is mind blowing. The book makes you question Everything and can often leave you frustrated and perplexed about what you are suppose to believe.
Point blank if you are looking for a book to challenge your common perspectives and assumptions on every day beliefs such as happiness, problems, or God, this book is a great place to start.
