I had to re-read this book three times to fully understand the true nature of the story. I came to understand that Abraham had to be considered a murderer in order to TRULY sacrifice Isaac...for what is easily done (ie not a murder) cannot be truly a sacrifice. Even if this book is a bit tough to get through at first, and the concepts seem to be about as clear as mud, once you DO get it after the umpteenth read, it's well worth it.

an excellent good book! at same time, it is also much difficult to read and understand!
