This is a very good book, and very thorough. An excellent book for learning about Reiki, and even better once you've been attuned. You just have to ignore the excessive "incest" examples. Plus, I just totally skipped the chapter on the Ki opening. A bit sexual for my taste! It is important to keep in mind that this is her way to do Reiki, and there are lots of ways, you have to find your own. Also, things have progressed even since she has written, so you have to take some of what she says to be in the past. I really recommend reading this book as a starting point.

I really liked reading Essential Reiki, by Diane Stein. I was able to read and understand what was being taught. The pictures for hand positions and the symbols was great. I liked the extra information concerning guides and thoughts around the Reiki healing. I highlighted a lot of information in the book and was able to bend open the book without causing damage to the center when reading. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn and master Reiki healing.
