After finishing listening to these 7-1/2 hours of Marc Gafni speaking, all I can say is, WOW, this guy is AMAZING!
I had enjoyed his book Soul Prints, but wasn't sure if there would be anything new in the tapes that would make them worth buying. But the fact is, this is a whole different experience. Firstly, these lectures were recorded (before a live audience) a couple of years after Gafni wrote the book, and in that time it seems he has greatly expanded on and more fully integrated this material; there is a lot of fantastic stuff here that is not in the book. Secondly, he is an INCREDIBLE speaker: dynamic and energetic, crystal clear and beautifully organized in his thinking, funny and entertaining, and overall hugely enjoyable to listen to.
Not to overstate the case, but I found the material itself, about the psychological and spiritual value of discovering your unique essence and living it in the world, truly life-transforming. Gafni delivers his message through a combination of inspiring stories (from biblical texts, various mystical traditions including Kabbalah, and his own personal life), profound and unique insights, and most important, very practical suggestions that ground the material, making it easily applicable to every day life. Gafni is a brilliant and original thinker; his reframing of shadow as soul print distortion (on tape 6) is by far the clearest and most useful understanding of Jung's concept of shadow I've ever come across.
Anyone who has the slightest desire to live a more authentic and joyful life, aligned with their soul's true purpose, should definitely buy this tape set. Available on CD or cassette, it is worth every penny!
