As a Wiccan Priest and a gay man, I found this book to be insightful, witty and a pleasure to read. The journey of the Green Men through the Wheel of the Year was inspired. Even the review of Wicca 101 was fresh. I connected with the author on so many levels, I only wish I could have been part of his original Green Men group. Michael Thomas Ford and the "Path of the Green Man" is a keeper, where has that man been all my life?
Worth buying for the series of "Green Man" fables, originally published in RFD Magazine. [...]
Newcomers to Paganism might find this book to be entertaining and engaging, but those with traditional Craft backgrounds may well be insulted by the liberal use of the word "flawed" to describe their practices. Personally, I'm left wondering how someone could write a book about Gay Wicca, claim that "gay men deserve their own tradition," and fail to mention the Minoan Brotherhood (a Wiccan tradition that's been around since 1975, comprised solely of gay men).
