Caryll Houselander was a wonderful, lyrical writer on top of her beautiful philosophical and theological understanding. She is one of my favorite Catholic writers. I wish she had been with this world longer, but The Reed of God is a classic that women of many generations to come will treasure.

Reading this book is a humbling experience that draws you closer to Mary. It gives prayerful ways to bring Christ to you and allow Him to grow quietly within you. A book to read over and over again. The author has a wonderful gift to share.
