Amethystium, Odonata CD. Review

Amethystium is the creation of Norwegian producer/writer Oystein Ramjford. The music can be described as a mysterious journey through ambient grooves. Enchanting and inspiring, "Odonata" is a record that relaxes the mind with its atmospheric melodic sounds. On a side note, the album was inspired by eastern cultures like India and Nepal. Ethnic percussion is also used on most of the songs, often combined with modern rhythms. Female sanskrit chants appear on "Opaque". In addition, on "Lhasa" ( the last track ) , you can hear buddhist monks chanting in a cave, and ambiances recorded in a street in Tibet.
