By the time Tomiki grew into manhood he was considered one of the most knowledgeable martial arts experts in Japan respected by one and all not only for his knowledge but for his skill as a teacher to whom 1000ís flocked. This video is just a sampling of the great masters skill and is being released as a tribute to a truly great martial artist of the 20th Century.
A Little Tomiki Aikido
The video is an incredibly small view of Tomiki Aikido. The tape is under 18 minutes in length. There is less than 13 minutes of actual video footage, of which 3 minutes shows Judo students doing basic Judo, only about 30 seconds of Tomiki Sensei here. The almost 9 minutes of Tomiki Sensei doing Aikido is very good, but is nothing special.
